A state-owned energy company Hungarian Electricity Works (MVM) recorded a consolidated net profit in the amount of 155.4 million euros in 2016.
The company’s revenues reached 3.3 billion euros in the previous year, while its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) reached 355.6 million euros. In 2016, MVM paid over 417 million euros in taxes and other fees to the state budget.
