Slovenian HSE Group, the largest producer and trader on the wholesale electricity market, has published an annual report for 2016 in which it stated that the company operated with a profit and reduced indebtedness, which is a big turnaround compared to 2015.
According to the report, HSE Group generated a net profit in the amount of 21.7 million euros in 2016 and reached 1.2 billion euros in revenues, while the company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased by 29.2 % reaching 156.5 million euros. Production of electricity in power plants operated by HSE in 2016 increased by 15 % compared to the previous year and amounted to 7.8 TWh, while sale volumes reached 28.3 TWh, 4 % more than in 2015.
