Croatian member of INA’s Management Board have vetoed the attempt of Hungarian MOL to close oil refinery in Sisak by turning it into distribution and logistics center.
There was an item on the agenda of yesterday’s meeting of INA’s Management Board regarding the concentration of crude oil processing in Rijeka refinery and conversion of Sisak refinery into distribution and logistics center, but three Croatian members refused to vote on it. Hungarian members of the Board requested that the funding of modernization of Rijeka oil refinery in the next year will be approved only if oil processing in Sisak refinery stops, due to alleged annual losses of 26.7 million euros.
