Although the bidders on the tender for the sale of 66 % stake in Greek natural gas transmission system operator DESFA should have been shortlisted this week, it was delayed and it is expected to be done on 12 September. However, Greek media reported that the consortium consisting of Romanian gas transmission operator Transgaz and French GRTgaz has already been excluded from the tender.
Allegedly, the consultants who analyzed the bids rejected the Romanian-French consortium because the two companies do not fulfill the requirements of the Greek law 4001/2011, in accordance with the directives of European Commission.
