Slovenian energy company HSE, which operates thermal power plant Sostanj, announced that the unit 6 of the plant was shut down on 19 December for scheduled maintenance. It is expected that it will be back online in the second week of January.
During the downtime, an inspection of the equipment and a warranty-covered repair of the steam collector due to a risk of cracks will be carried out, while the costs will be covered by General Electric. In the meantime, the production of electricity and heat for external consumers will be secured by unit 4.
