Kosovo’s Minister of Economic Development Blerand Stavileci said that the planned construction of 600 MW coal-fired thermal power plant Kosova e Re is expected to rise Kosovo’s gross domestic product (GDP) by some 2 %.
Minister Stavileci said in an interview that the construction of the new power plant, which is the largest energy project in the country, will create some 10,000 jobs, while additional 550 will be employed after its completion. It is expected that the construction works on this one billion euros worth project will start in 2018.
