Thermal power plant Gacko has been taken off the grid since Saturday, 25 February after 90 consecutive days of operation.
Executive Director for Production of electricity and Development Borivoje Vujicic said that such long period of operation without any disruptions has not been recorded in the plant’s history so far, which contributed to increased electricity production of power utility ERS during the cold spell in January. According to him, total ERS’ electricity production reached 804 GWh since the beginning of the year, of which TPP Gacko produced about 34 %. The plant produced 278 GWh of electricity since the beginning of the year, which is 6 % more then planned for the period.
