Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) decreased the usage limit for electricity customers to become eligible to switch suppliers from 2,400 kWh to 2,000 kWh.
From 2018, consumers who use more than 2,000 kWh of electricity per year will qualify as eligible customers who have the right to switch to a power supplier of their choice. With the new limit, some 3.6 million more electricity consumers are set to become eligible in 2018. At the end of October, the number of consumers in this category stood at 4.71 million.
