Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources said that it is expected that Trans-Anatolian (TANAP) gas pipeline will be put into operation in the first half of 2018.
The statement from the Ministry said that the works on the completion of the construction of the pipeline are being carried out at an accelerated pace. Last month, Turkish Energy Minister Berat Albayrak said that that the construction of TANAP will be 94 % completed by the end of this year, adding that this is one of the important energy projects for Turkey and its implementation contributes to the country’s turning into an energy hub in the region and that the testing of the pipeline will begin in late 2017.
