Representatives of Slovenia and Russian gas company Gazprom have signed a five-year agreement on gas supply to Slovenia, which envisages imports of about 600 million cubic meters of Russian natural gas per year. The value of the contract has not been disclosed.
CEO of the Slovenian gas company Geoplin Bostjan Napast said that the signing of this contract is an important step towards establishing long-term cooperation between the two companies. According to some estimates, the amount of gas supply will cover about 5 % of Slovenia’s energy needs.
