The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said that Bulgarian State Enterprise Radioactive Waste (SERAW), which is responsible for the decommissioning of the units 1 to 4 at the country’s sole nuclear power plant Kozloduy, has launched a tender for the construction of the DGS-1 building for the decommissioning purposes.
According to tender documentation, works on the construction should not take longer than 134 weeks. The deadline for bids submission is 23 April 2018, while the contract is expected to be awarded in June. The tender will be financed through the Kozloduy International Decommissioning Support Fund (KIDSF).
