On the sidelines of the annual summit of China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries in Riga, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov announced that gas interconnection between Bulgaria and Romania will be launched on 11 November.
PM Borisov stressed that gas interconnection with Romania will be the first operational gas link since the gas crisis in 2009, which proved that Bulgaria is totally dependent on Russian natural gas deliveries and that the country is completely vulnerable on this matter, compared to other EU member states.
