Giurgiu-Ruse gas pipeline or gas interconnection between Romania and Bulgaria has been officially launched on 11 November.
The ceremony was attended by Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Romanian and Bulgarian Ministers of Energy – Victor Grigorescu and Temenuzhka Petkova. Minister Grigorescu said on the occasion that the commissioning of this gas interconnector is just the first step for Romanian natural gas transmission system operator Transgaz on the road towards the implementation of BRHA (Bulgaria-Romania-Hungary-Austria) project, as it is a project of national priority for Romania.
