Coalmine and thermal power plant (RiTE) Ugljevik, operated by Bosnian power utility ERS, recorded a loss in the amount of 9.2 million euros in the first half of 2017.
According to the financial report, TPP Ugljevik exceeded planned electricity production in the first six months of the year by 47.56 %, since it produced 936.24 GWh of electricity, while 634.5 GWh was planned for the period. However, this is due to the move of start date of planned annual overhaul from 1 May to 1 July. The share of TPP Ugljevik in total electricity production in the first half of the year in the Republic of Srpska (RS) was 37 %.
