The largest Romanian oil and gas company OMV Petrom, a subsidiary of Austrian OMV Group, said that Christina Verchere will take over the role of president of the Directorate and CEO of the company as of 1 May 2018.
The change was announced in early January, when the Supervisory Board of OMV Petrom appointed Verchere as the new CEO. Current CEO, Mariana Gheorghe will step down after ten years at the company’s helm, while Christine Verchere will replace her for the remainder of her mandate which will expire on 16 April 2019.
