Oil production dropped by 4.3 % in 2016 – Romania, 24 February 2017

According to the data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS), oil production in Romania in 2016 amounted to 3.577 million tons of oil equivalent, which is 4.3 % (160,600 tons of oil equivalent) less compared to last year.
At the same time, Romania imported crude oil in the amount of 7.468 million tons of oil equivalent, which is 13.2 % (872,800 tons of oil equivalent) more compared to 2015.
