Romanian electricity producer Nuclearelectrica, the company that operates the country’s sole nuclear power plant Cernavoda, recorded a net profit in the amount of 29.3 million euros in the first half of 2017, compare to 0.38 million euros profit recorded in the same period last year.
The company also registered an increase of 5.5 % in production and delivery of electricity from NPP Cenavoda, given the significantly shorter planned outage in the first half of the year. At the same time, sales revenues increased by 20.2 % due to higher average price of electricity (12.83 %) and higher volume of delivered electricity (6.5 %).
