In its Sustainable Development report for 2017, Serbian oil company NIS said that it has invested over 7 million euros in environmental and socially responsible projects in Serbia. Namely, 4 million euros was invested in environmental and 3 million euros in socially responsible projects in 2017.
CEO of NIS Kiril Tyurdenev explained that for the company, investing in people is one of the most important pillars of sustainable development. Investing in young people and knowledge is an investment which always pays off because these are talented, young people who are motivated and directed towards change, development and innovation and who contribute to modernization as the key to maintaining the competitiveness of the company. Tyurdenev stressed that the principles of sustainable development are part of every process in NIS.
