The Romanian subsidiary of Hungarian oil and gas company MOL, said that its retail fuel sales in Romania continued to rise, as diesel sales increased by 10.6 % in the third quarter of 2017, while petrol sales were at the same level as those in the same period in 2016.
MOL is the third largest fuel retailer in Romania, after OMV Petrom and Rompetrol, which is controlled by Kazakh state-owned KMG. At the end of last year, MOL Romania announced that it would carry out investments of 10-15 million euros in Romania in 2017 in developing its petrol station network. The company estimated that it had a market share of about 19 % in the retail segment.
