A member of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly energy committee Asadullah Karahani said that Iran has paid a part of its 1.9 billion dollars debt to Turkey with natural gas supplies.
Karahani explained that Iran has provided Turkey with 800 million dollars worth of natural gas as the first installment of the compensation fee for overpricing the gas previously sold to the country. He added that remaining portion of the money owed to Turkey would be also paid in natural gas supplies.
