Executive Director for technical affairs at the power utility ERS, Maksim Skoko said that the highest daily electricity consumption in the Republic of Srpska (RS) in the history of the company was recorded on 11 January and it amounted to 16,994 MWh.
Skoko pointed out that this daily consumption was achieved with the maximum load of 833 MWh at 18:00 on 11 January, which is also the highest hourly consumption ever recorded. According to him, extremely bad weather conditions and large number of holiday days in the first week of January cause an increase in the consumption. He said that planned average daily consumption in RS for January is 12.437 MWh, while in the first ten days of the month, average daily consumption reached 14,943 MWh.
