Serbian media informed that gas supplier Srbijagas has requested a gas price hike of 14.02 % and already notified distributors on its intentions. The request has to be approved by Serbian Energy Agency (AERS).
According to the new price list, natural gas for households in Serbia should cost 0.37 euros per cubic meter, including VAT. Natural gas prices in Serbia went down by 11.8 % last March due to lower prices on the world market, while prices were slightly increased in October and December, currently amounting to 0.27 euros per cubic meter.
