Major oil companies Exxon Mobil, Total and Repsol are among members of two consortia that have submitted bids for the exploration of oil and gas off the coast of Greece.
Greek Hydrocarbons Management Company (EDEY) announced that ExxonMobil and Total, each with 40 % stakes, and Greek oil refiner Hellenic Petroleum (ELPE) with 20 % stake have jointly bid to explore offshore block off the coast of Crete, while Spanish Repsol and ELPE have submitted a joint bid for a block in the Ionian Sea.
