The European Commission (EC) announced that it will provide 500 million euros for funding cross-border energy infrastructure.
The EC said that the projects that will be supported would strengthen the EU’s internal energy market, enhance security of energy supply, and help provide clean, sustainable energy for Europe. The call for proposals under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF-Energy) will be open until 11 October.
