Serbian state-owned power utility EPS has started the construction of a new substation in Ub, a project in which it will invest some 2 million euros. The construction should be completed in a year and a half.
Acting Director of EPS Milorad Grcic said on the occasion that the existing substation in Ub is working above its capacity, causing electricity supply problems to households, as well as local industry. The construction of the new substation will solve these problems for the next 20 years. Grcic added that the construction of the new substation and connecting transmission lines would also reduce distribution losses.
