Macedonian state-owned power utility sold a total of 35,400 MWh of surplus electricity at the average price of 58.73 euros/MWh at the fourth auction this year held on 4 July.
Director in charge of electricity production at ELEM Blagojce Trpovski said that the auction was divided into two lots. The first lot contained baseload energy for the month of August. The starting price was set to 62 euros/MWh, while the highest achieved price at the auction was 65 euros/MWh. The second lot contained baseload energy for September, which was sold at the price of 54.85 euros/MWh.
