According to Montenegrin media, due to an increase in network fees of at least 2 % and higher VAT, the price of electricity for households and small enterprises should increase by at least 3.6 % as of 1 January 2018.
The media report, that the price of electricity itself, which is accounted for about 40 % of the total price paid by consumers, will be increased by the maximum allowed 6 % as of 1 January. Power utility EPCG is allowed to request an increase of a maximum 6 % based on the increase of price on the referent HUPX electricity exchange of 70 % compared to 2016.
