According to the data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (Turkstat), the country’s electricity import bill in the first half of 2018 decreased by 30.6 % compared to the same period in 2017.
Turkey paid about 30.16 million dollars for imported electricity in the first six months of the year, compared to last year’s 43.47 million dollars. Electricity imports in the January-June 2018 period amounted to 780.86 million kWh, compared to 808.62 million kWh in the comparable period in 2017.
