According to the data from the Statistical Office of Republic of Slovenia, country’s electricity consumption in March 2018 increased by 4 % compared to the same month last year.
In March 2018, total net electricity generation in Slovenia reached 1,429 GWh, which is 16 % more than in the previous month. At the same time, consumption reached 1,348 GWh, which is an increase of 9 % compared to February 2018. During March, production in thermal power plants decreased by 3 %, production in hydropower plants increased by 158 % and the production of nuclear power plant Krsko increased by 11 % compared to the previous month. In March 2018, Slovenia imported 850 GWh of electricity and exported 911 GWh.
