According to the data published by the National Institute for Statistics (INS), electricity consumption in Romania in the first four months of 2018 amounted to 19.1 TWh, which is 2.9 % more compared to the same period last year.
The data show that industrial electricity consumption reached 15.14 TWh, which is 6.8 % more compared to the previous year. On the other hand, households electricity consumption amounted to 3.76 TWh, which is a 9.8 % decrease. Public lighting consumption dropped by 6.6 % amounting to some 199.7 GWh.
