According to the data published by the National Institute for Statistics (INS), electricity consumption in Romania in the first four months of 2017 amounted to 18.57 TWh, which is 3 % less compared to the same period in 2016.
The data show that industrial electricity consumption reached 14.19 TWh, which is 3.8 % lower compared to the same period in 2016. On the other hand, households electricity consumption amounted to 4.17 TWh, which is a 0.2 % decrease. Public lighting consumption dropped by 6.9 %, amounting to some 213.8 GWh.
