Russian company GazpromNeft, the majority owner of Serbia’s oil company NIS, said that plans to start the operation of the new deep conversion unit at Pancevo oil refinery in the third quarter of 2019. The construction of the unit started in October 2017.
The new deep conversion unit will have an annual production capacity of 700 million tons and the majority of its output will consist of diesel fuel. It will allow NIS to fully meet the demand of petroleum coke in Serbia. Russian company will invest some 300 million euros in this project.
