The legal deadline for the peaceful solution of a dispute related to Croatia’s investment in the construction of coalmine and thermal power plant (RiTE) Gacko expired on 1 December, and no agreement has been reached between the two sides.
Representatives of Croatian state-owned power utility HEP said that, during the six-month period, relevant Bosnian authorities did not officially contact HEP regarding this matter, therefore the company will continue with the realization of the legal procedure regarding its pre-war investments in this Bosnian power plant. On the other hand, BiH State Attorney Mladjen Mandic said that the Bosnian side will request a three-month deadline extension.
