Russian gas company Gazprom announced that the world’s largest pipe-laying ship – Pioneering Spirit has left Netherlands and is on route to the Black Sea in order to continue with the construction of the offshore section of the second line of TurkStream gas pipeline.
The statement from the company said that the vessel has completed the construction of pipeline’s first line and already laid the first 224 kilometers of the second line up until the border between Russian and Turkish Economic Zones. The second line of TurkStream gas pipeline will have the same capacity as the first one – 15.75 billion cubic meters per year and will transport Russian natural gas to European markets.
