Bulgarian Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova and her Romanian counterpart Toma Petcu have agreed that electricity transmission system operators of both countries (ESO and Transelectrica) should sign an agreement on mutual assistance in emergency situations.
After the meeting, The two Ministers were unanimous that the Bulgaria-Romania natural gas interconnector project is a perfect example that the goals of the European Energy Union are being implemented. Minister Petcu said that the Podisor compressor station will be completed by the end of the year, which will allow the Bulgaria-Romania gas interconnector to function in full capacity.
