Bulgarian interim Government announced that it has approved the position of the European Commission (EC) on the possible deal with Russian Gazprom to settle antitrust dispute in eastern and central Europe, but in its opinion, this must be done under certain conditions.
The official Bulgarian stand is that the commitments Gazprom promises to assume must be amended, because in their current form they do not provide sufficient guarantees of the market prices of natural gas. Bulgaria also find unacceptable the fact that Gazprom and gas companies from eastern and central Europe are not placed on an equal footing.
