According to the analysis performed by Coface, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has the lowest price of petroleum products in the region, while Slovenia has the highest.
The price of liter of petrol in BiH is 0.9 euros, of which 0.47 euros represents the base price, while the rest consists of excise tax (0.31 euros) and VAT (0.12 euros). After BiH, cheapest petrol is in Macedonia – 1 euro/liter, but the share of excise tax is higher than in BiH and amounts to 0.35 euros/liter.
