The National Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE) has approved the increase of service tariffs of electricity transmission system operator Transelectrica by 28 % as of 1 January 2018.
ANRE decided to increase of the tariff for Transelectrica’s system service by 0.58 euros/MWh, and now it amounts to about 2.6 euros/MWh. The reason for the increase is the loss of some 22 million euros that Transelectrica reportedly recorded in the fourth quarter. The official estimates are that there will be a 0.6 % increase in the final energy price for the household consumers.
