According to short-term indicators of energy statistics published by Croatian Bureau of Statistics, net electricity production in Croatia in February 2018 amounted to 1,353 GWh, which is 19.4 % more than in the same month last year, when the production amounted to 1,133 GWh.
During February, 771 GWh of electricity or 57 % was produced in hydropower plants, 393 GWh or 29 % was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 146 GWh or 10.8 % of total produced electricity. During this period, Croatia imported 1,059 GWh of electricity, almost double the amount it imported last January (632 GWh), while electricity exports stood at 847 GWh, almost three times the amount exported last January (307 GWh).
